ANN: Bandai Visual Gets Shigofumi, True Tears Anime

Anime companies are sure working faster. Three episodes out in Japan, and already these series got licensed. I’m sure Shigofumi was a safe choice. I’ll make sure to buy some DVDs once they come out. True Tears… not so much.

Anyways, I’ve made a vow to never download any licensed anime, so now my watching list is down to only PERSONA. I’ll probably start blogging H2o again, and maybe start on Spice and Wolf.

Now, only one thing can make us happier in the distressing time: Rika!

Aiko is grooving on. Hopefully, we’ll see a bit more of her.

True Tears 2: No place for Yuri in a Harem

This should be a yuri between Hiromi and Noe, instead of a harem, because it works so perfectly as one. No one cares about Shin-chan, but we all love Noe and Hiromi. So, why don’t we just strip Shin’chiro from his role of a protagonist, and make Hiromi and Noe the stars? The ratings will skyrocket, LITERALLY!

Then, they could work on getting Shin’chiro and Nobuse into a yaoi, and draw in the fangirls. Come on, True Tears could be the next big hit! It could join the FYGs and the animebloggers together, into an everlasting friendship and alliance. No fangirl will ever be insulted at the bloggers again!

But if it was just mindless yaoi and yuri, it’d be porn. No one likes porn.

I’m also endlessly amused that some random person called Shin-chan a pimp. When’s the last time a male harem lead was known as a pimp (School Days is not a harem, so that doesn’t count)?

True Tears 1: Crazy Witchcraft

And it’s True Tears, an anime that I was indeed interested in. And I must say that the first thing that strikes me about it is that the art and animation are just beautiful. The CG backgrounds are indeed a bit unusual, but they do match Shin’chiro’s talent/hobby/obsession of watercoloring.

The plot is probably going to become very similar to your average Key harem. See, there’s already a crazy loli-tsundere who can do MAGIC (or not)! But, I’m not complaining, Noe-chan is great! And Hiromi’s coodere complex is terrible. Off with her head!

As for Aiko, she’ll probably just be neglected throughout the whole series. Noe and Hiromi start the series off in a great tear-fest, while Aiko is laughing her head off. That’s much too bad, I’d rather concentrate on dear Aiko then Hiromi. I hate all coodere. Even Mai.

True Tears start off nicely, and I hope that this niceness will continue throughout the whole series. I am highly anticipating when they reveal Noe-chan’s plot-twisting backstory (of course she has one, this is a drama harem!). If we have to endure lots of subplots concerning Aiko and Hiromi, so be it.

True tears isn’t THE true tears.

Damn it.

Don’t get them confused, kiddies.

But seriously, I wish the game DID get an anime release (has it already?). It seems a damn lot awesomer then the anime we’re getting this season.

You can get a (free) translation of the demo here.
